Details of Game #1:       Mar 30, 2016
Moorestown 10   -   Rumson Fair Haven 5     (Reg Season)

Moorestown defeated the top team from the Jersey Shore and one of NJ's most formidable teams in 2016, 10-5 on it's home turf.

Most lacrosse enthusiasts were expecting Rumson to defeat the Quakers today but Moorestown had other plans for the start to the 2016 season. Led by Quinn Nicolai's five goals and outstanding defense backed by Lawson Hayes solid goaltending, the Quakers have sent a message that this 2016 team should not be counted out.
In spite of several key players being out for the season with injuries and sickness, the Quakers jumped out to a 6-1 lead over the Bulldogs and went into the lockerooom at half up 6-3. One of the key moments of today's game was the ability of Moorestown's defense to kill a two minute man down situation, not allowing a goal. Nineteen different players stepped up for Moorestown today making this a very satisfying team victory.
Of the 19 players who received playing time, about half were getting extensive playing time for the first time in a real game . Draw control was even. Senior Lawson Hayes, had her best game as a MGlaxer as she had 9 saves and was successful on all her clears.
No rest for the Quakers as they now take on the # 2 ranked team from the shore area in Red Bank Catholic, who comes in Friday off of a one goal loss to Mendham.
