Moorestown 15 - Cherokee 5 (Reg Season)
Details of Game #9: Apr 21, 2016
Moorestown seem lethargic in today's game against Cherokee but finally put the Chiefs away 15-5. Cherokee dominated draw control 14-7 and played spirited lacrosse throughout the field. Congrats to junior Quinn Nicolai on scoring her 100th career goal!
The Quakers played 22 players but did not seem energized enough to put Cherokee away. The Chiefs won possession and were around the ball much more than Moorestown, getting more ground balls as they won the effort battle too often.
Quinn Nicolai once again led the charge with six goals and one assist as well as garnering three draw controls. Julia Bolte also netted three draws. Claire D'Antonio continues to play her best lacrosse as she tallied three goals making it two consecutive games for that stat line. Moorestown did have 27 shots on goal and Cherokee's netminder Gabriela Krug was up to the task. Moorestown did have an incredible six blocked shots and limited their turnovers to five but again, they had too few possessions. Once again, the Quakers attack had multiple scorers as seven girls found the back of the net.
Moorestown prepares for Saturday's home showdown with another NJ power, Ridgewood who is coming off a one goal loss to Summit.
