Details of Game #12:       Apr 30, 2016
Moorestown 9   -   Our Lady of Good Counsel, Md. 11     (Reg Season)

Moorestown went toe to toe with Good Counsel coming out of the halfime break even at 5. The Quakers succumbed to the Falcons in a back and forth slugfest, 11-9.

Ya gotta make plays. There are no moral victories for playing the nation's # 2 team in an even game.
The Quakers were seemingly a play or two away from taking control numerous times throughout the game and a missed shot or turnover negated great effort. It was a exciting game for the unbiased fan and one that will pay dividends to both teams for playing great competition. No doubt playing this top end talent will help the Quakers as they head down the home stretch and into the playoffs.
The Moorestown defense was exceptional given the amount of possession time GC had and it was backed by a solid performance by senior goalie Lawson Hayes. Eight different girls scored one goal apiece for Moorestown. The Quakers, who held a 6-4 advantage at halftime on the draw, were beat in the second half 7-4. Moorestown had 22 shots on goal. Good Counsel also scored a man up goal due to a Quaker yellow.
