Moorestown 13 - Abington 2 (Reg Season)
Details of Game #6: Apr 15, 2017
Moorestown played its most complete game of the season defeating the Ghosts of Abington, Pa., 13-2, winning draw 13-2 and rarely allowing the visitors to bring the ball up the field in transition.
Moorestown did their best to forget about the lack of execution in the Bridgewater game by playing smart on attack and using a lethal midfield transitional defense, only allowing Abington three shots on goal the entire game.
Possession was crucial and the Quakers not only had the ball for most of the game but when they did they had long sets and moved the ball very well, getting open looks on feeds and dodges. Ava Frantz led the offensive output with four goals followed by Quinn Nicolai's three. Nicolai also had three assists.
Kayla Frank and Robin Panzarella had five and four ground balls and each led in legal checks as well.
Possession is key and the Quakers led the way with 13 draw controls, with Nicolai and Frank controlling the center of the field. Twenty two players saw action and it helped to wear down the Ghosts as the game wore on.
