Details of Game #21:       May 26, 2017
Moorestown 11   -   Seneca 7     (State Championship)

Moorestown defeated Seneca for the SJ Group 3 title today 11-7. Moorestown played a lethargic and uninspired game but credit Seneca for controlling the tempo and forcing the Quakers to compete throughout the entire 50 minutes.

It was supposed to be a convincing win for the Quakers as they move on to the next round of states. That is why they play the game and no one should be taken lightly. Seneca proved to be a determined opponent and one with a very sound game plan.
The Quakers were held scoreless for the first ten minutes of the game and held a precarious led at half 4-3. Moorestown won draw control 12-7, led by Quinn Nicolai's seven but the lead that Moorestown enjoyed was never convincing. Kacey Knobloch led the offense with five goals and Ava Frantz contributed two. Robin Panzarella had one goal, two assists and three legal checks.
Moorestown had ten turnovers, too many for a slow game and made way too many poor decisions.
Moorestown advances to next Tuesday's game agains Central Jersey Champ Notre Dame, a team that the Quakers defeated earlier in the season 19-1.
