Moorestown 16 - Westfield 2 (Reg Season)
Details of Game #4: Apr 03, 2018
The Blue Devils from Westfield invaded Moorestown and were drubbed by a 16-2 margin. Nine different Quakers scored.
The weather forced this game to be moved in Moorestown's favor on the turf at Wesley Bishop and for the first half the Quakers played like they were on foreign soil. Too many turnovers and sloppy play led to a 7-2 halftime lead.
The second half showcased a much better effort, a more precise offense couple with a stingy defense all over the field resulting in a 9-0 last 25 minutes. Twenty different girls saw action. Kayla Frank and Kacey Knobloch led the offense with three goals apiece and Colette Smith continues her assault with another four assists and two goals. Cailin Field and Robin Panzarella chipped in with two goals apiece.
Panzarella, Rylee Brown, Frantz and Frank were active in the midfield with many legal checks and ground balls. The defense closed the door with double teams and made it hard for Westfield to bring the ball up the field getting a couple interceptions and caused turnovers. The Quakers had 9 turnovers but some of that was caused by the steady rain which led to three overthrows. Moorestown won the draw control 10-8.
